My experience:

Kaspersky has provided an online virus scan for free, where you can upload a file to the site, and Kaspersky Anti-Virus will do a scan on the file, and let you know if your file is clean or not.

The Kaspersky server is updating every three hours, to ensure that even the very newest viruses can be detected.

Note:
- Only one file up to 1 MB can be checked at any one time.
- If you have several potentially suspicious files, you can also zip them up and check.
